Why Blink?
If we had a dime for the number of times we heard someone say “and then I got to know them and I fell in love…”
Our members crave real connection, depth in relationships, and love. Our goal is to help members break out of the swiping rut, move past superficial checklists, and find real connections.
How do I sign up?
It’s simple: enter some basic info like your gender identification, sexuality, age, age range of interest, and location. You’ll also upload a single photo that potential matches will see after dates.
Love may not truly be blind, but photos only convey a small portion of who we are. Plus, not everyone has access to model-grade photos or marketing-grade profile-creation skills.
How do I go on dates?
Tell us when you’re free and we’ll schedule you for ten minute, voice-only dates with potential matches.
Blink is designed to help you meet potential matches… like, actually meet them. There’s no swiping or marathon messaging before a first date.
How do you pick potential matches?
Potential matches are based on your availability and the info you put in when signing up – age, sexuality, and location. You can also filter by religion and family plans through your settings.
What is a “voice-only” date?
Basically a phone call, but via the app (e.g. we don’t share your phone number with others). This allows you to:
Focus on your conversation. You can immerse yourself in what your date is sharing and be truly present.
Be on your couch in your PJs. First dates are stressful enough – it’s nice to be able to relax a bit!
What happens after the Blink Date?
After each Blink Date, both parties complete an Evalu-dation, where you evaluate how your date went and whether you’re interested in possibly matching.
If you Evalu-date your Blink Date positively, you’ll move on to Glances, where you’ll see three photos, one of which belongs to your date... but… plot twist: you don't know which! For each photo, you’ll let us know whether you’d be interested in matching based on that photo.
How do I match?
If there’s mutual positive feedback on both the Blink Date and the Glance, it’s a match! (Note: “positive feedback” means a “yes” or a “maybe” during the Evalu-dation and Glance).
After you match, you can continue the conversation in-app until you’re ready to take it offline!
